A 2-yard skip is the smallest size skip you can hire, sometimes called a “mini-skip”. It is commonly hired for small house clear-outs, small DIY projects or garden improvements. A 2 yard skip can hold up to 30 black bin bags of waste.

A 2 cubic yard skip is the smallest skip hire available. The dimensions of the skip are:

How Much Waste can you Fit in a 2-yard Skip?

mini skips holds 2 cubic yards of rubbish. It can hold 20 to 30 black bin bags full of waste. It doesn't have a large volume so only for small amounts of waste materials.

 

Can a 2-yard Skip be put on a Road?

You can put this skip size on a public road, but you will require a skip permit from your local council. These council permits can be applied for when you order through JustHire. A skip hire council permit can take up to 5 working days and will be an extra charge. Permits are required for skip placement on any council land.

 

What is the Hire Period of a 2-yard Skip?

Our skip hire period is 2-weeks as standard. If your hiring needs exceed this time frame you can pay for extra weeks.

 

How Much does 2-yard Skip Hire Cost?

Mini skip hire prices can vary starting any where from £85 up to over £200. Price is dependent on where you are located. In general if you are located in the south of the UK skips will be more expensive compared to the north. For example a skip in Essex will be more expensive than a skip in Scunthorpe. Being a small skip you will not find the mini skip as cost effective as larger skips.
