Our Story
Summer 2021 I renovated my garden with a new patio and seating area. With a quick google I looked to see what equipment I would require. Turns out, a lot. This list included: Plate compactor, mini digger, angle grinder, wheelbarrow, trowel, cement mixer, skip. For a summer DIY project this was going to take a lot more administration then first thought. After calling several companies it got a bit complicated. I could hire some of the equipment from one company but not all of it, either they didn’t stock the item, or it was already hired out.

After calling several companies it got a bit complicated. I could hire some of the equipment from one company but not all of it, either they didn’t stock the item, or it was already hired out.
I ended up having to organise the equipment with 3 separate companies. When it came to build day, one of the pieces of equipment did not turn up. After many phone calls I found out “a mistake was made on the system…. delivery of the equipment would be delayed”, I was now waiting (whilst still paying for all the other equipment I hired).
The equipment was delivered eventually and I could get started. I finished the project after a few weeks and my garden was looking sharp, pretty good for someone with little experience in DIY. Now came the task of paying for the hired equipment. So, 3 invoices arrived , all with their specified pricing before and after tax, with the additional cost of a few extra days hire. I had to call up each company to pay over the phone. Not a marathon task but a bit less convenient then just booking online.
